What a Fun Filled Weekend

We finally went to Utah last weekend for the first time in two months, and what a busy weekend it was. Most important was to visit our new two week old grandbaby Quinten. What proud grand- parents!

Travis, Marlin, & Justin, holding and smelling our new baby.

With Ethan comfortably checking it out.
Back again on Sunday to get more of baby Quinten.

Justin had soccer games both Friday and Saturday.
How about that header and good defense.

GO UTES! It was a blast to be back in Rice Ecles Stadium for a game, Utah vs. Weber.

Justin and Travis got some fun swim time in at the KOA in Salt Lake.

Justin got thrown in by Travis, even tho you can't see Travis in the picture below.

So all in all it was a fabulous weekend! Our family has grown up a lot in just a couple of months. We love them soooo much!

Two Week Vacation with Mom

What a fun visit with Mom we had a nice two weeks. Went to Boise's Arts in the Park (Mom got her exercise that day), watch lots of fun movies, and just enjoyed each others company. Here is some relax time on the patio. I think Mom really enjoyed Maddy a bit too. The days I did work, Maddy checked on Mom regularly. When I left, she was up to sleep some more at Mom's feet.

We headed out to visit neighbors and to do our shopping. What a great day!

This was our temple day. Starting with a nice brunch at Cracker Barrell, then off to the temple.

We later that evening had a nice dinner with my card group friends, Mom is getting to know them very well. It is becoming a yearly event each time Mom comes for her visit.

Then at the airport, it was hard to say good-bye. It has been so nice to have Mom here, I'll miss her so much. She'll only be home a couple of weeks then off to Blaine and Necha's, then a few more weeks home and off to Rory and Angie's. She is quite the traveler.

Our New Toy

We got a new motorcycle, just a small one that will go in the dirt as well as on the street. We got a Yamaha TW200. It is fun for Marlin to putt around and protect the neighborhood, and we can put it on the back of the motorhome to have a little something to run to the store, etc. when we travel. We are going to take our STAR motorcycle safety class at the end of October together. It's been a fun little adventure.

A Special Visit from Aunt Ann

We had the most amazing time when Marlin's Aunt Ann came up with his sister Carrie for a visit. I think them most memorable was just sitting and asking Aunt Ann questions of her growing up years, while Carrie took notes. For 80 years old, you would never know it, she looks and acts spry as ever!
Marlin, Cindy, Aunt Ann, & Carrie - what a fun visit.
Maddy had to hide out in the shade.

Aunt Ann wanted a picture of Travis. She lives in Lexington, by Louisville, Kentucky where Travis served his Mission. She was excited to have him to dinner a couple of times while he was there, and the first time they had ever met.
Aunt Ann also wanted a picture of our kitchen, and every other room in the house, she is so cute.

Playground Boys

I don't know of a more precious image than our grandboys playing on the playground. Landen, Seth, Wyatt and Ethan.
